Gemma Whittel

Hi there, I’m Gemma.

 

I am a multidisciplinary designer and artist who thrives on experimentation when creating design solutions. I enjoy working with analogue photography methods, screenprinting, risograph and letterpress. I also have a keen interest in advocating female typographers and designers.

 

My passion has always been in art, design and photography. After graduating in 2006, I spent 9 years teaching abroad as a way to explore and travel the world. This experience helped me to become an independent, open-minded person.

Working with international students involved patience and communicating information in a simple and creative way.

 

Now based in London, I decided to pursue my enthusiasm for design by gaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Design for Visual Communication at University of the Arts London with the aim of working in the creative industries.
